Tip: Drawing from Windows

When the weather gets cold and you don't care to get out, here's an alternative to drawing landscapes. Use a window to find your vantage point. Most windows open upon some segment of the active world. Windows can yield remarkable material and they permit you to sketch without concessions to the weather. Sketching is not necessarily a question of elaborate preparation and large segments of time. Opportunistic sketch has its place and can make for a well-rounded sketching experience.
