Term: Split Complementary Palette

A split complementary palette is a limited palette named after a common color scheme. The scheme combines a single color with the colors on either side of its complement. A palette is called a split complementary palette if it has only the three colors and white. Colors mixed from a split complementary palette are dramatic, visually intriguing, and have a good balance.
