This book offers many useful insights into the drawing process. It will be of particular interest to those pursuing figure drawing. It explores gesture, weight and expressive tonal modeling. It also includes a study of anatomy and drapery. It has a great many exercises and is illustrated with student works as well as Old Master drawings. Unfortunately, beginners may find this book difficult to read and follow.
